    The naga sea witch Lady Vashj is reviled as the right-hand of the Betrayer, Illidan Stormrage. She is widely known for guiding the weakened and despondent blood elves into Illidan's fold. After Arthas defeated Illidan in Northrend, she joined the Betrayer in Outland to consolidate the power of their forces. From her base in Coilfang Reservoir, Lady Vashj and her naga have been terrorizing the inhabitants of Outland while orchestrating ecological devastation in the swamps of Zangarmarsh. The opening of the Dark Portal and the arrival of the heroes of Azeroth brought the first real resistance to Lady Vashj's armies.
